Position Title: Catering Attendant
Pay Range: $17.50/hr + Tip Eligible
Event based Schedule: MLB Season
Join our dynamic team at Chase Field as a Catering Attendant and contribute to the exceptional guest experience at our Catering events. As a Catering Attendant, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality food and service to our event guests, ensuring they have a memorable time during events at the ballpark.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner; ensure a welcoming atmosphere at all times.
- Provide exceptional, friendly, and courteous service to guests throughout the event.
- Retrieve and verify food orders from the kitchen; ensure accuracy and presentation adheres to Levy Core Signature standards.
- Communicate special requests or modifications to appropriate kitchen or serving staff.
- Distribute menus, present daily specials, and answer any menu-related questions from guests.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of menu and available products.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders; ensure food and beverages are served in a timely manner; ensure correct placement of dishes.
- Deliver and serve food and beverages at scheduled functions under the supervision of catering captain.
- Prepare guest checks, process payments, and ensure accurate transactions.
- Assemble and deliver food and supplies to designated locations for catered events.
- Ensure food items are properly stored, labeled, and dated according to standards, following food safety guidelines.
- Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Set up buffet tables, arranging food, beverages, and service items per event specifications.
- Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility post-event.
- Clean event areas during and after events, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Complete required event production logs, safety and sanitation logs, waste/spoilage log, inventory log, check-in/check-out procedures daily.
- Assist with event-specific documentation as needed.
- Stock, clean, and maintain catering facilities equipment.
- Complete opening and closing duties including cleaning tasks, setup, preparation in assigned area, daily and monthly inventory.
- Collaborate with FOH and BOH team to promote a positive environment, smooth operations, and timely service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service skills; ability to interact professionally and effectively.
- Ability to accurately take and place orders; provide timely service.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, best practices, and sanitation requirements.
- This position may require the following valid certifications: ServSafe Food Certification, ServSafe Alcohol Certification, and Maricopa County approved Food Handler certification.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for stadium events.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the restaurant and/or sports entertainment industry.
- 2+ years Server or Catering experience preferred.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, ranging from 6-12 hours, during events or as required by operational demands.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including walking, standing, ascending/descending stairs, as necessary.
- Exposure to heat, steam, and cold temperatures within the kitchen environment.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel as needed.
