Job summary

University of New Orleans is seeking a Premium Assistance - Coordinator 2 in Baton Rouge to serve as a subject matter expert for billing/premium collections for LAP, FOA, and Buy-In programs. You will be a primary contact for LAP/FOA inquiries and help ensure Buy-In system reliability with LaMEDS/MMIS.

Role requires strong analytical skills, project management ability, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with MMIS/LaMEDS preferred. Salary range $50k–$60k.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years of professional work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 1 year professional experience with MAGI and NON-MAGI related policies and procedures.
• Minimum 1 year professional experience with MMIS and the Louisiana Medicaid Eligibility Determination System (LaMEDS).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) for communication and data management.

Responsibilities

• Serves as SME for billing/premium collections for LAP, FOA, and Buy-In programs.
• Primary contact for LAP and FOA inquiries from members, eligibility workers, and external entities.
• Monitors the Buy-In System interfacing with LaMEDS and MMIS; supports system changes.
• Assists with training new staff and acts as back-up to coordinators and program managers.
• Contributes to program expenditure projections and special projects as assigned.
