Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Accounting course preferred.
• 0 to 1 year's accounting work experience required (Accounting Support Specialist I).
• Duck Creek experience preferred.
• Exceptional typing and 10key by touch skills required.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Intermediate Excel and Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, resolve, and respond to inquiries from internal and external customers regarding policy status, payment remittances, and related billing matters.
• Research, review and process unidentified/suspense/exception premium receipts.
• Review, analyze and authorize premium disbursements in a timely manner.
• Prepare daily bank deposit reconciliation to ensure premium postings are credited correctly to bank accounts.
• Sort, prioritize, and record premium receipts in the billing system with accuracy.
• Prepare correction entries for misapplied payments and bank errors.
• Assist in moderately complex calculations and billing account analyses.
• Create and track pending items (unidentified, suspense, exception items).
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of supporting documents.
• Perform OFAC clearance and Premium Collections follow-up.
