Job summary

Canopy Tempe is seeking a friendly, efficient bartender to serve beverages and light food, greet guests, handle cash, and maintain bar stock. You will mix drinks to standard recipes, manage garnishes, and ensure health and safety standards are followed.

The role includes answering the bar phone, taking orders, and balancing the register. Responsibilities include maintaining bar setup, stocking supplies, and assisting teammates as needed, while adhering to liquor regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner and document drink orders.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register, make change, total checks, and balance bank.
• Basic English language writing skills for requisitions and vouchers.
• Knowledge of liquor regulations pertaining to serving minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.

Responsibilities

• Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard recipes and portion controls.
• Maintain daily bar set-up and stock of beer, wine, spirits, garnishes, and condiments.
• Receive cash, balance cash drops and secure bank; operate POS system.
• Answer bar phone and take room service orders; create checks for guests and staff.
• Perform general cleaning and adhere to health standards; follow all safety procedures.
• Assist other Beverage Personnel when needed and maintain a neat appearance.
