Job summary

Solage, Auberge Collection, Calistoga, CA, seeks a Bartender to be the heartbeat of our social space, curating moments and flavors for guests. Beverages, wine, and spirits knowledge are essential as you craft experiences in a luxury resort setting.

You will follow beverage recipes, ensure compliance with liquor laws, manage bar setup for functions, and maintain a professional presence during shifts. This role offers hourly pay with tips and opportunities in a premium wine country property.

Qualifications

• One year experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry as a Bartender preferred.
• Good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine. Experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred.
• Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Superior professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team.
• Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.

Responsibilities

• Be thoroughly familiar with beverage and wine.
• Be familiar with and follow all standard of beverage recipes and adhere to the established pour policy without deviations.
• Operate within full compliance of state liquor laws and regulations. Be thoroughly familiar with DWI prevention procedures and techniques.
• All liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages must be prechecked prior to serving when not a hosted function and all charges going to the master account.
• Follow established requisitioning procedures for the banquet bar set up.
• Bar areas are to be properly secured and locked at the end of the shift.
• Set up banquet bars utilizing banquet beverage requisition for assigned function per BEO
• Prepare fruit (garnish) tray and make sure the bar has all mixers and equipment such as pourers, strainer, shaker, etc. to prepare drinks properly.
• At the end of the function return stock counts for all beverages
• Clean banquet bar and equipment at the end of the function before returning them to the storage area.
• Never leave the bar unattended and always maintain a professional posture.
