Job summary

Solage, Auberge Collection in Calistoga, CA is hiring a Bartender who crafts drinks and creates memorable experiences for guests.

You will manage beverage and wine knowledge, follow recipes and pour policies, comply with state liquor laws, prep bar, assist with banquet bars, and maintain stock counts. One year of hospitality experience is preferred; a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, is expected. Starting pay is $30 per hour plus tips.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry as a Bartender preferred.
• Good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine; experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be thoroughly familiar with beverage and wine.
• Follow standard beverage recipes and established pour policy.
• Operate in compliance with state liquor laws and DWI prevention procedures.
• Precheck all liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages before serving when not hosted.
• Follow requisitioning procedures for banquet bar setup.
• Lock and secure bar areas at end of shift.
• Set up banquet bars per BEO and requisitioning.
• Prepare fruit garnishes and ensure bar has mixers and equipment for drinks.
• Return stock counts at end of function.
• Clean bar and equipment after function and store properly.
• Maintain professional posture and never leave the bar unattended.

Job Description

Embark on a rewarding journey with our team as a Bartender, a key player in our vibrant establishment, you will not just serve drinks; you will be the curator of heartfelt moments, an alchemist of flavors, and the heartbeat of our social haven.

• Be thoroughly familiar with beverage and wine.
• Be familiar with and follow all standard of beverage recipes and adhere to the established pour policy without deviations.
• Operate within full compliance of state liquor laws and regulations. Be thoroughly familiar with DWI prevention procedures and techniques.
• All liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages must be prechecked prior to serving when not a hosted function and all charges going to the master account.
• Follow established requisitioning procedures for the banquet bar set up.
• Bar areas are to be properly secured and locked at the end of the shift.
• Set up banquet bars utilizing banquet beverage requisition for assigned function per BEO
• Prepare fruit (garnish) tray and make sure the bar has all mixers and equipment such as pourers, strainer, shaker, etc. to prepare drinks properly.
• At the end of the function return stock counts for all beverages
• Clean banquet bar and equipment at the end of the function before returning them to the storage area.
• Never leave the bar unattended and always maintain a professional posture.

The starting pay rate for this position is $30.00 per hour plus tips. This is the pay rate for this position that Solage reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual pay will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications

• One year experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry as a Bartender preferred.
• Good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine. Experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred.

• Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.

• Superior professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
• Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
