Job summary

Oak View Group in New York seeks a hands-on Manager, Grounds & Site Services to oversee maintenance, landscaping, and the campus exterior around UBS Arena. You’ll manage vendors, ensure safety, and keep budgets in check while supporting some interior operations as needed.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in groundskeeping or arena maintenance, strong project management, and excellent communication. Experience with irrigation, contract oversight, and safety standards is essential; the role

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in grounds maintenance or arena/venue environments.
• Experience managing vendor contracts and service agreements.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscaping standards.
• Comfort working in both office and field settings.

Responsibilities

• Own vendor relationships for landscaping, irrigation, snow removal, and grounds maintenance.
• Review contracts to align scope, pricing, and performance.
• Develop RFPs and evaluate proposals; recommend vendors.
• Negotiate rates and renewal terms for value and quality.
• Serve as liaison between facility leadership and contractors.
• Set service level expectations and resolve issues.
• Coordinate exterior operations with Premium Department for partnerships.
• Ensure safety compliance and site procedures during work.
• Schedule maintenance and manage project timelines.
• Maintain documentation of scopes, schedules, and closeouts.
• Provide 24/7 exterior service coverage and after-hours support.
