Job summary

Primrose School of Center City Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced Prekindergarten Teacher to plan and implement an ongoing program that promotes social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child, in line with the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach. We are preparing for the 26-27 school year and hope you can join us soon to begin training.

Qualifications

• Meets basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency.
• Experience teaching or assisting in an early childhood program preferred.
• Understanding of social, emotional and creative needs of young children.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily class functions and supervise a group of children.
• Observe rules and regulations regarding health, safety and care.
• Assess each child’s developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
• Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule.
• Plan parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations with Leadership Team.
• Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages exploration and decision-making.
• Provide positive recognition and clear expectations for behavior.
• Attend staff meetings and school functions.
• Maintain professional appearance per employee handbook.
