Job summary

The Primrose School of Centennial is seeking a Support Teacher to implement the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and foster social, emotional, cognitive and physical development in preschool-aged children. Located in Centennial CO, the role focuses on supervision, lesson implementation and a safe, engaging classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years old and willing to be trained on and drive the Primrose school bus.
• Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agencies.
• Must be available for flexible full-time hours, Monday through Friday.
• Prior teaching or assistant teaching in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Knowledge of social, emotional and creative needs of young children.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and assist with infant handling when required.
• Must be reliable and maintain good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
• Observes all rules and regulations pertaining to health, safety and care of children.
• Implements approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule.
• Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages exploration and decision-making.
• Provides verbal recognition and clear, consistent expectations for behavior.
• Assists in maintenance and housekeeping duties of classroom, common areas and playgrounds.
• Maintains professional appearance per Employee Handbook guidelines.
• Assists in other capacities as determined by the Director or designee.
