A large school district in Georgia is seeking a Special Education Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to provide specialized instruction for young learners with disabilities. The ideal candidate will develop individualized lessons, support students' physical needs, and engage with families and therapists to ensure growth and success in a nurturing classroom environment. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and meet Georgia certification requirements in Special Education. Prior teaching experience is preferred. This position is within a supportive educational framework focused on student potential.

• Previous teaching or work-related experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals.
• Adapt lessons and materials to meet each learner’s unique needs.
• Implement strategies that encourage participation and self-regulation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff.
• Monitor and document student progress through observations.
• Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings.
• Support students’ physical and personal care needs.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning.

Conocimientos

Instructional strategies for students with significant autism support needs

Knowledge of IDEA and due process procedures

Technology use to support learning and communication

Collaboration, organization, and communication skills

Educación

Bachelor’s degree from a PSC approved college or university
