Job summary

Kinkeade ECC in Irving, Texas is seeking a PreK Bilingual/ESL Aide to support classroom teachers across a 187-day school year. You will assist with instructional activities, behavior management, and student supervision under the direction of a certified teacher.

Qualifications include Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate and a High School Diploma or GED; bilingual English/Spanish preferred in some settings.

Qualifications

• Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred in some settings.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher.
• Assist teachers in providing modified instruction for ESL students in inclusive settings.
• Assist with the administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
• Assist in supervising students throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual students.
• Assist in keeping administrative records and preparing required reports.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of classroom equipment.
• Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as required.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Serve as an interpreter in situations when one is needed.
• Assist students with activities of personal care which can include diapering, toileting, and/or dressing.
• Any other duties as assigned by Campus Principal.
