Job summary

Irving ISD is seeking an Early Childhood Instructional Aide to support teachers in delivering instructional activities and managing behavior for young students. The role involves working under a certified teacher and principal guidance, with opportunities to assist ESL students in inclusive settings and to help prepare instructional materials and display projects.

The incumbent will supervise students, assist with testing and records, and may act as an interpreter when needed.

Qualifications

• Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate or equivalent
• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Ability to work well with children and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with instructional activities and behavior management
• Provide support for ESL/inclusive settings and modified instruction
• Help with testing, records, and reports as directed by the teacher/principal
• Supervise students inside and outside the classroom throughout the day
• Assist with preparing instructional materials and classroom displays
• Serve as an interpreter when needed
• Assist with activities of personal care as required
