Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational development of students under the direction and guidance of the classroom teachers
• Assist classroom teachers with maintaining student records.
• Support Tier 1 core instruction under the direction of the lead teacher, ensuring all students can access grade-level learning.
• Actively facilitate small-group instruction and intervention groups based on student data and teacher planning.
• Monitor student learning and needs during instruction and provide feedback and support.
• Communicate students’ progress with student and family on a weekly basis
• Implement a clear and consistent behavior management system that aligns to campus- wide initiatives while developing students’ character and sense of community in the classroom
• Help shape and develop a school wide culture that fosters a productive and enthusiastic learning environment for each student
• Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with students and families based on trust, understanding and respect for the communities in which they identify.
• Host necessary tutoring sessions to meet all students’ needs
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, before and after-school duties, and school wide meetings and functions
• Engage in summer and year-long district, school and personal learning and development
• Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week
• Additional responsibilities may include: after-school tutoring or Saturday school and are based on the needs of our scholars

Job description

Role Mission:IDEA Early Childhood C o-Teachers support Tier 1 instruction in grades Prekindergarten-Grade 2 and targeted intervention under the direction of the lead teacher. Co-Teachers actively facilitate small-group learning, provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports, and help cultivate joyful, engaging learning environments where all students can thrive. Through close collaboration with lead teachers, Co-Teachers help ensure every student receives the support needed to achieve mastery and develop a love of learning.

This position is grant-funded with Title I Part A funds. This is a grant-funded position and funding may be extended. A grant-funded position has no guarantee of ongoing and indefinite employment. All duties and responsibilities tied to this position are allowable and allocable to the grant. The employee will work solely (100%) on allowable activities outlined in the grant program.

Compensation:

• Compensation for this role is set at an hourly rate ranging between $16.61 for 0 years of experience and $23.98
• Hourly co-teachers earnings are paid out over a 12-month period

Qualifications:
