Job summary

Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) is seeking an architectural designer to join our Dallas PreK-12 Education practice. This early-career role supports project teams from early design through construction under supervision, with opportunities to mentor juniors and expand across market sectors.

The candidate will apply Revit workflows, collaborate with engineers, and contribute to sustainable, high-performing educational environments in a flexible hybrid office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Architecture (4-year) degree required.
• Licensure or active pursuit of licensure preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years' experience in A/E industry required.
• Proficiency in Revit is required.
• Experience with PreK-12 projects preferred.
• Familiarity with building codes and LEED or sustainability credentials preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Architect to ensure design and technical quality.
• Collaborate with engineers and consultants using Revizto.
• Support delivery of professional services per HED Design Process.
• Direct staff and develop project delivery strategies.
• Understand design intent and communicate through documentation.
• Coordinate with project team disciplines as needed.
• Perform submittal reviews during bidding and construction administration.
• Mentor junior team members when appropriate.
