Job summary
Cytokinetics, a specialty cardiovascular biopharmaceutical company in San Francisco, seeks a Preformulation Pharmaceutical Scientist to advance small-molecule formulations for non-clinical studies. You will collaborate with biologists, chemists, and PK scientists to evaluate solubility, stability, and delivery for PK/PD and toxicology programs.
Responsibilities include leading salt/co-crystal screening, applying solubility-enhancing technologies, and developing analytical methods to support GLP
Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related discipline.
- 7+ years (MS) or 4+ years (PhD) in preformulation and preclinical formulation development.
- Experience formulating poorly water-soluble compounds for animal studies.
- Experience with HPLC/UPLC analysis and method development.
Responsibilities
- Serve as preformulation representative on drug discovery and early development teams.
- Design and evaluate formulations for non-clinical PK and toxicology studies.
- Lead preformulation assessment of NCEs, including solubility and solid-form screening.
- Develop and qualify HPLC/UPLC methods supporting formulation characterization.
