Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in South San Francisco is seeking an Associate Scientist in Formulation Development to advance prototype formulations and drug product development for cardiovascular therapies.

You will design, execute, and analyze experiments for oral solid dosage forms, develop scalable manufacturing processes, and collaborate with Analytical Development, Chemical Development, DMPK, and EH&S to bring candidates toward clinic.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field with 6+ years or MS with 4+ years of industry experience.
• Hands-on expertise in pharmaceutical formulation, oral solid dose manufacturing equipment, and characterization techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze experiments for oral solid dosage forms (tablets, capsules, suspensions).
• Develop scalable manufacturing processes for early and late-stage formulations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Analytical Development, Chemical Development, DMPK, and EH&S teams.
