Job summary

EPI Power, LLC, a subsidiary of The Weitz Company, is hiring for an onsite prefabrication role in Des Moines, IA. The position operates in our Des Moines prefabrication shop Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:30pm, with possible Saturday hours; remote or hybrid work are not available.

You will lead prefab kickoff meetings, develop production schedules, review drawings for constructability, and work closely with shop teams and field project teams to align production with installation milestones.

Qualifications

Minimum three (3) years of field construction experience required.
Experience as Foreman, Lead Installer, Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager preferred.
Prefabrication or manufacturing exposure is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead prefab kickoff meetings and define project-specific scope.
Develop and maintain prefab production schedules.
Coordinate detailing priorities and ensure drawings are complete before release.
Review drawings for constructability and field alignment.
Sequence prefab assemblies based on installation needs.
Monitor labor hours against budgets and identify variances.
Coordinate change requests and pricing within authority.
Facilitate prefab coordination meetings between field and shop teams.
Ensure material requirements align with production schedules.
Spend time on shop floor reviewing assemblies with production teams.
Visit project sites to confirm constructability and gather field feedback.
