Job summary

J&J Snack Foods in Paducah, KY is seeking an entry‑level production associate to operate the pre cup machine, load packaging film, and manage setup for each run. You will inspect equipment, follow procedures, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout shifts.

The role requires High School or GED and production experience. You will work 6:00 am start times, wear uniforms and PPE, and participate in safety meetings as part of a team focused on quality and efficiency.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for set up and operating pre cup machine, bringing in proper packaging material and changing film rolls. Must endure accurate completion of checklists and complete visual inspections for cleanliness and foreign material contact management if needed. Must be willing to accept responsibility and accountability for ensuring that proper procedures are followed. Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Employee must become proficient in the operation of the pre cup machine. Must inspect cup machine and cup line, and all associated machinery to ensure cleanliness. Employee will be responsible for adjusting machinery as needed for production runs. Employee must be certified to use a power jack to move the refers and supplies. Employee must be able to ensure all proper safety measures are being used.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: All employees are required to be in full uniform to include bouffant cap, beard cover (as applicable), safety glasses and gloves . Hearing protection is required . Employee schedules will be 6:00 am to downtime or as required by production management.

COMPETENCIES: All employees are required to attend weekly safety meetings and will receive Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training specific to their job function as per the HACCP/GMP Manual.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required Education: High School/GED. Required Experience: Production.
