Job summary

Kimmel & Associates is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Specialist to lead preconstruction for commercial mechanical construction projects. You will partner with owners, architects, engineers, estimators, and operations teams to develop winning strategies and deliver outstanding outcomes.

In this role you will manage preconstruction activities, develop budgets and cost estimates, perform value engineering, review drawings and documents, and support business development through client

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial mechanical construction.
  • Experience in preconstruction, estimating, project management, or related mechanical construction roles.
  • Strong estimating experience on commercial mechanical construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all preconstruction activities for commercial mechanical construction projects
  • Develop conceptual and detailed project budgets and cost estimates

  • Perform constructability reviews to identify project risks and opportunities

About the Position

This position will lead preconstruction efforts from project identification through contract award, partnering with owners, architects, engineers, estimators, and operations teams to develop winning strategies and deliver outstanding project outcomes.

Requirements


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial mechanical construction

  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams including architects, engineers, owners, and contractors
