Job summary

Baker Construction seeks a detail‑oriented Preconstruction Specialist to support proposal development and estimating, manage document control, and coordinate with Project Controls, Quality, SHE and Contracts. The role involves preparing bid materials, QTOs and pricing, and assisting in creating Work Packages for transitions to Operations.

Strong collaboration across departments is required; a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience or an equivalent combination is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Background in project controls, purchasing, contracts or engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Supports proposals development and estimating, including QTOs and bid pricing.
• Manages document control for Preconstruction and prepares CWPs/IWPs.
• Interfaces with Project Controls, SHE, and Contracts during Preconstruction.
• Assists in preparing submittals, resumes, and organization charts.
