Job summary

BuildX seeks a seasoned preconstruction and selections specialist to own the client-facing preconstruction process from PCA through construction contract. You will drive design decisions, manage budgets, and coordinate with designers, consultants, and finish vendors to deliver a complete contract package.

The role requires strong attention to detail, fluency in plan reading, and exceptional written communication.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in preconstruction, selections and client management for custom/semi-custom residential builder.
• Ability to read floor plans, elevations, sections and details fluently.
• Very strong written communication to document decisions, budgets and changes.
• Experience coordinating with architects, engineers and finish vendors.
• Proficient with construction management software and plan markup tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the preconstruction process from PCA signature to contract signature.
• Drive design, selections and budget updates with clients and design teams.
• Coordinate consultants and finalize a complete selection schedule and specs.
• Produce and maintain an accurate contract package for PM review.
• Manage weekly client budget updates and change pricing with the PM.
