Job summary

CPG in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Preconstruction Service Proposal Associate to support the Sales and Service teams in developing proposal and quote packages for customer deliverables. This role interfaces with Estimation, Preconstruction, Engineering, CX, and Operations to ensure accurate and complete delivery proposals.

You will participate in kickoff and weekly meetings, coordinate data gathering, and help prepare competitive proposals across Data Center Implementation and Service Operations

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of trades work experience in mechanical/electrical or low voltage.
• Experience with process implementation and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of project management and bidding processes.
• Familiarity with Procore is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist sales by gathering data to compile preconstruction deliverables.
• Lead weekly estimation deliverable meetings across lines of business.
• Prepare proposals for Data Center Implementation and Service Operations.

Preconstruction Service Proposal Associate

Ashburn, VA (open to remote or hybrid)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Proposal Manager, Preconstruction- Service Estimation is responsible for assisting the Sales Team & Service Operations/Project Coordinators/Managers with the development of proposal and quote packages for customer deliverables and assure all aspects of the final proposal deliverable is ready for distribution by the sales rep. Interacts & communicates with internal resources such as Estimation, Preconstruction, *Engineering, OTS/Controls, CX , Service and operations teams to produce the overall delivery proposals. Has professional appearance and excellent communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists sales personnel by obtaining the necessary data to assure the Preconstruction and estimation departments have what they need to compile the deliverable.
• Conducts weekly estimation deliverable meeting to assure all lines of business are aware of actions items to assure timely deliveries.
• Prepares Proposals for the following hierarchy business lines:
  • a. Data Center Implementation (DCI)
    • i. Design Build Projects
    • ii. Other Construction (Turnkey Projects)
    • iii. White Space Fit Out (TFO)
  • b. Service Operations (SO)
    • i. Battery Install
    • ii. Battery Maintenance
    • iii. Electrical Maintenance / Testing
    • iv. Facility Operations
    • v. HVAC Install
    • vi. HVAC Maintenance
    • vii. Monitoring
    • viii. OTS/Controls
    • ix. QA/QC and CX Services
• Prepares proposals and participates in presentations, as necessary, in conjunction with the PreCon Managers/Estimators.
• Works with the marketing, sales and service team to ensure we have the necessary components within our proposal package.
• Assists on startup package for project handoffs upon award for Sales and Service Rep.
• Reviews awarded projects with Operations/Project Coordinators and Manager.
• Is responsible for assisting in special projects.
• Advocates and enforces proper safety measures in all company operations.
• up to 10% Travel

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Minimum 2-3 years of trades work experience, mechanical, electrical, low voltage or trade school experience.
• Capabilities as individual contributor and leading collaboration efforts.
• Proven experience in process implementation, systems improvements objectives.
• Knowledge of Project Management/Bidding software Procore
• Must have a stable work history
• Field experience is preferred but not required
• Experience in program/project management is a plus.

Knowledge/Computer Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
• Ability to communicate with Internal resources to determine their needs.
• Ability to forecast requirements, resources and projected timelines required to complete the deliverable.
• Basic accounting skills.
• Ability to work closely with management.
• Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
