Job summary

ARCO/Murray National in Chicago seeks a Project Developer to drive pursuit and development of entertainment- or hospitality-related interiors renovations. You will manage site due diligence, entitlements, and preconstruction with ARCO/Murray project managers and design teams to deliver on time and within budget.

You will coordinate with brokers, attorneys, and partners, while advising clients on site layout and cost-effective development strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred)
• 2-4 years of construction PM or MEP design experience
• Experience delivering projects on schedule and within budget
• PE license (preferred; ARCO/Murray supports licensure)
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Project and Excel

Responsibilities

• Manage due diligence of site conditions (surveys, asbestos, MEP/Structural review)
• Oversee real estate entitlements and permits to start and execute projects
• Interface with brokers to facilitate leases or purchases and mitigate risk
• Be the single client contact during preconstruction and represent the team
• Advise clients on site layout, design, and entitlement paths
• Coordinate with real estate attorneys, landowners, and partners
• Manage all design and due diligence costs and cash flow analysis
• Create and manage preconstruction schedules for projects
• Prepare preliminary cost estimates for design and construction
• Develop design alternatives and value engineering with cost estimates
• Oversee engineering studies and report conclusions
• Cultivate client relationships and pursue business development
