Job summary

ARCO/Murray National Construction in downtown Chicago seeks a Project Manager passionate about design/build for the hospitality sector. You will lead projects from design to completion, coordinating with clients and the design team to shape budgets and scopes.

You will oversee subcontractors, drive value engineering, manage schedules, and monitor cost status and progress billing while upholding safety and quality standards. Competitive base pay with discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
• Experience leading ground up commercial/hospitality/restaurant projects preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from preconstruction through closeout.
• Work with clients and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
• Participate in proposal meetings to review scope, reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout for all trades and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to procure material or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to budget or schedule.
• Coordinate with Project Superintendent on subcontractor scopes, schedules, and site logistics.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors and vendors to solve constructability and manpower issues.
• Lead weekly/bidirectional OAC meetings on-site to review progress and address challenges.
• Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.
• Ensure safety and quality while making the construction process efficient and enjoyable for clients and teams.
