Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Preconstruction Manager for Commercial Construction (Procurement) in Washington, DC. The role oversees preconstruction activities, supplier relationships, and cost estimation, with a focus on procurement for mechanical and building systems.

Qualifications

• Eight years of estimating experience with a concentration in mechanical construction projects.
• Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions and trade practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the preconstruction phases including coordination and client contact.
• Produce progress estimates at design milestones and evaluate material and system costs.
• Oversee subcontractor and vendor relationships, bidding, and bid package definitions.
