Job summary

Airswift seeks an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead and coordinate preconstruction activities for large-scale industrial projects, overseeing design-bid-build estimating while exploring Design-Build, P3, CMGC, and CMAR delivery methods.

You will develop accurate estimates from inception to submission, review bids for risks and opportunities, and quantify cost impacts to protect project profitability. Requires a four-year engineering degree and 10+ years in estimating.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• Ten or more years of experience in an estimating role.
• Experience with multiple delivery methods (Design-Build, P3, CM/GC, CMAR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate preconstruction activities across all design and planning phases.
• Develop accurate, timely estimates for large-scale industrial projects from inception through final submission.
• Review bid documents to identify risks and opportunities and provide clear recommendations to leadership.
• Assess contractual risks, quantify cost impacts, and recommend mitigation strategies to protect profitability.
• Apply labor, equipment, insurance, bonding, and tax considerations in estimates.

We're seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to work for one of our major clients, a global EPC business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate preconstruction activities for assigned projects, delivering strategic input, collaboration, and solutions throughout all phases of design and planning.
• Utilize extensive experience in design-bid-build estimating while expanding expertise in alternative delivery methods, including Design-Build, Public-Private Partnerships (P3), CM/GC, and CMAR projects.
• Apply advanced estimating knowledge by evaluating and incorporating project-specific labor costs, equipment expenses, insurance requirements, bonding, and tax considerations.
• Assume full responsibility for developing accurate, comprehensive, and timely estimates for large-scale industrial construction projects, directing all aspects of the estimating process from inception through final submission.
• Review and evaluate bid documents to identify potential risks and opportunities, providing clear recommendations and insights to project leadership and management.
• Assess contractual risks, quantify potential cost impacts and exposure, determine the likelihood of identified risks, and recommend mitigation strategies or appropriate contingency measures to protect project profitability.
