Job summary

MCL Construction is seeking a Preconstruction Manager in Omaha, NE. You will lead the preconstruction phase from concept through GMP, develop budgets and pricing, and partner with owners and design teams to optimize scope and value.

You will build and guide preconstruction teams, drive pursuit strategy, and address risks early to position projects for success. This role emphasizes collaboration with operations and advancing estimating technology.

What You Bring to the Arena

The Skills Behind The Build

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience in preconstruction or estimating.
• Proven experience leading projects from conceptual budgeting through GMP or final pricing.
• Strong knowledge of estimating, cost modeling, constructability, value management, and market pricing.
• Proven ability to lead and develop preconstruction or estimating teams.
• Strong client-facing experience with owners and design teams, including pursuits, proposals, presentations, and interviews.
• Experience with CMAR, Design-Build, GMP, or other integrated delivery methods.li>
• Healthcare, mission critical/data center, federal, education, or other complex commercial project experience is highly valued.
• Proficiency with estimating software, VDC, and construction technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
