Job summary

Contegra Construction Co. is seeking an experienced Construction Preconstruction Manager to lead planning, estimating, budgeting, and client collaboration on commercial, industrial, manufacturing, distribution, and design-build projects.

You will guide estimating, value engineering, constructability reviews, and budgeting while coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of estimating, preconstruction, or PM experience in commercial construction.
• Experience with commercial/industrial/design-build projects and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction from conceptual estimating through GMP development and turnover.
• Prepare conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, takeoffs, and pricing analyses.
• Coordinate subcontractor bidding, scope development, and procurement strategies.
• Lead value engineering and constructability reviews to maximize value.
• Review drawings and specs to identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop preliminary schedules, logistics, and phasing strategies.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and design teams throughout development.
• Support business development through client meetings and proposals.
