Job summary

Invoke Staffing is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating and preconstruction efforts for a commercial interior fit‑out and tenant improvement firm in North Carolina. The role focuses on driving scope development, GMP/bid readiness, and cost control from the earliest planning stages.

You will prepare budgets and bid packages, negotiate with subs, and coordinate with PMs and field teams to ensure a seamless handoff to execution and strong proposal support for clients.

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years in preconstruction and estimating for commercial construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction process from initial scope development through GMP/bid submission.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and quantity takeoffs for interior and tenant improvement projects.
• Identify cost-saving options and value-engineering opportunities during design and planning phases.
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors to secure competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams for a smooth handoff from preconstruction to execution.
• Support proposal development and client presentations during pursuit phases.
• Join a team with a long history and reputation for quality in the commercial construction market.
• Work with project managers and site teams maintaining ownership and hands-on presence on every project.
• Serve clients across leasing, tenant improvement, and interior buildout projects.
