Qualifications

• Requires previous commercial construction preconstruction/estimating experience.
• Ability to take a project from napkin sketch through full estimate.
• Knowledge of the Charlotte, NC construction market preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare time, cost and labor estimates for construction projects from drawings, specs and RFPs.
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and vendors and analyze bids for scope.
• Develop preliminary construction schedules for estimating and preconstruction.
• Prepare conceptual estimates and budgets for projects.
• Develop subcontractor relationships for bid solicitation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, owners, architects, engineers, and project team.
• Interpret existing conditions during site walkthroughs and meetings.
• Prepare, review, and distribute construction estimates.
• Update rates in cost databases to keep them current.
• Maintain estimating schedule for all priced projects.
