Job summary

Just Construction Recruitment is seeking a Preconstruction professional for commercial projects across healthcare, education and commercial sectors. You will lead preconstruction activities and collaborate with owners, architects, design teams and project managers throughout the process.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial construction estimating or preconstruction, strong budgeting and procurement skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction estimating/preconstruction.
• Experience across commercial, healthcare and education projects preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office; Destiny/Beck Technology or similar estimating software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction activities from initial concept through final estimate and contract award.
• Review drawings, specifications and design documents to develop accurate budgets, estimates and project schedules.
• Work closely with owners, architects, design teams and project managers throughout the preconstruction process.
• Provide value engineering and cost-saving recommendations.
• Develop procurement strategies and identify project risks and cost efficiencies.
• Solicit, review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Build and maintain relationships with trade partners and suppliers.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bid packages and final contract pricing.
