Job summary

Scorpio is seeking a detail-orientedPreconstruction Estimator to join our team in New York. You will develop detailed quantity takeoffs and comprehensive estimates from concept through final submission, and manage bidding documents.

You will collaborate with project teams, maintain cost data and support cost analysis, ensuring accurate, competitive bids for negotiated and hard-bid projects. A strong background in construction estimating is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience estimating commercial construction projects.
• Proficiency in both negotiated and hard-bid estimating.
• Skilled with industry-standard estimating software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive project estimates from concept through final report.
• Manage and distribute bidding documents, including drafting bid invitations and notices.
• Track document revisions for scope and quantity changes.
• Produce clear, presentation-quality estimate reports for both negotiated and hard-bid projects.
• Maintain historical cost databases and support cost analysis for operations as needed.
• Collaborate with project teams during turnover from preconstruction to construction.
