Job summary

International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) in Syracuse, NY seeks a detail‑oriented Preconstruction Estimating Department Administrator to support estimating, document management, and business development efforts.

You will assist managers with information gathering, prepare proposals, coordinate bid documents, and help develop strategies for client engagement while maintaining accurate records and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to use MS Project.
• Experience with takeoff and estimating processes.
• Strong communication and organization for deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Preconstruction Managers with information gathering and estimating tasks.
• Support preconstruction training, scheduling, and team performance.
• Develop strategies for business growth and client engagement.
• Prepare and deliver project proposals, bids, and presentations.
• Coordinate bid submissions and maintain documentation.
