Job summary

COUNTY is seeking a Preconstruction Engineer to support projects from concept through design and the early stages of construction. You will provide technical input on constructability, budgeting, scheduling and risk reduction to keep programs on track.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, drafting and design teams, project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure design accuracy, budgeting alignment, and on-time delivery, while identifying cost-saving opportunities and coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum five years in prestressed/precast design or preconstruction engineering.
• Strong knowledge of prestressed/precast design principles and codes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and related software.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, schedules, and timelines.
• Analyze designs for constructability, cost effectiveness, and value engineering.
• Review documents to ensure code compliance and client specifications.
• Develop budgets and identify cost-saving measures.
• Coordinate material procurement, transportation, and installation timelines.
• Identify and mitigate risks to minimize delays and costs.
• Serve as a liaison for prestressed/precast inquiries during preconstruction.
• Communicate project status and milestones through updates and meetings.
