Job summary

U.S. Engineering is seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to support design, budgeting, and coordination through the preconstruction phase on projects up to $5 million in mechanical value.

You will assist with design completion, cost/schedule impacts, and coordination between design, estimating, operations, and field teams. This role emphasizes collaboration, communication, and proactive problem solving, with opportunities to develop client relationships and participate in industry

Responsibilities

• Assist in conceptually finishing the design on incomplete design documents and review cost/schedule impacts.
• Support the Preconstruction Manager in design progress on design-assist and design-build projects regarding scope, schedule, and coordination.
• Serve as a resource for Project Managers and Field personnel on design issues and assist with electrical/general coordination.
• Assist with generating budget estimates, defining scope, and updating preliminary estimates as design evolves.
• Maintain a database of estimating information from past projects and lead small project budgeting with PM support.
