Job summary

MMR Group is seeking a Preconstruction Engineer in Baton Rouge, LA to develop engineered estimates and budgets for electrical construction projects. The role requires coordinating with project teams and clients to build comprehensive work packages and manage procurement activities.

The candidate should have a BS in Construction Management or related field or equivalent experience. Strong reading of electrical drawings, estimating knowledge, and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or related field required.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum 2 years of experience as a Field/Project Engineer in electrical construction required.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgment with minimal supervision.
• Must have basic knowledge in estimating and controls.
• Strong MS Office skills and good organizational abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
