Job summary

MMR Group, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer based in Apple Grove, WV to support field installation activities.

Responsibilities include walkdowns, verifying layouts, documenting as-built records, and coordinating with foremen and supervisors to track progress and quantities. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Construction Management or related field, with experience in electrical/instrumentation construction, reading drawings, and using MS Office.

Qualifications

• Develop cable schedules from vendor schematics (wire type, sizing, termination).
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
• Coordinate with foremen and supervisors to track progress and deliverables.

• Coordinate with foremen and supervisors on site.
• Perform installation audits and client reporting updates.
• Assist Construction Management and Superintendents with productivity constraints.

Location: Apple Grove, WV

Pay: Up to $55/hr. based on experience

Per Diem: $125/day

Work Schedule: 6/10s; 7am-5:30pm daily

Job Description:

MMR is seeking Field Engineer candidates to support field installation activities by conducting walkdowns, verifying layouts, resolvingconstructability issues, assisting with inspections, maintaining as‑built documentation, and providingaccurate progress and quantity tracking to field supervision.The responsibilities would include, but not limited to, the following:

• Developcable schedules including wire type, sizing, and termination information from vender schematics.

• Perform layout verification and field walkdowns inclusive of site surveying.


• Identify and resolve constructability issues and design interpretation.


• Support quality inspections and testing by providing list of completed tag items for quality


• inspections.


• Maintain as-built documentation.


• Review daily installation progress and quantity reports generated by foreman.


• Coordinate directly with foremen and supervisors.


• Perform installation audits and tracking updates for accurate client reporting.


• Work with Construction Managements and Superintendents to provide constraints reports


• impacting productivity.


• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• BS in Construction Management or related field


• Must be capable of developing cable schedules including wire type, sizing, and termination information from vender schematics


• Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction preferred


• Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications


• Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision


• Must have basic knowledge in estimating and controls


• Working knowledge of MS Office software


• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadline


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends as needed


• Regular and reliable attendance at work
