Hoar Construction is seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to support the delivery of preconstruction services and guide projects through design. You will input, coordinate, and solve issues to maintain program, scope, and quality while aiding schedule and cost control.

Travel up to 10% may be required. The role involves producing quantity take-offs, assisting bid processes, evaluating subcontractor bids, and coordinating with design teams using SketchUp, Revit, BIM tools, and estimating

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
• 1–4 years of experience in a Pre-construction/Estimating environment on large commercial or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction cost estimating, conceptual budgeting, and scheduling.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with SketchUp, Revit, VICO, NavisWorks, On-Screen Take-Off and Suretrak.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Mansioni

• Produce detailed quantity take-offs for conceptual estimates.
• Assist in managing the bid process, including document flow and subcontractor participation.
• Assist in assembling the estimate including general/special conditions, insurance and bonds.
• Analyze subcontractor pricing for completeness and alignment with proposal requirements.
• Review documents for completeness and incorporate VE suggestions with the design team.
• Support Pre-construction Manager to provide complete services to Clients and design teams.
• Prepare team directory, meeting agendas, minutes, and other administrative tasks.
• Prepare and track Action List items during preconstruction.
• Assist with subcontractor solicitation and project sales presentations using BIM tools as appropriate.
• Assist with budget preparation, scheduling, and design/preconstruction meetings.
• Evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids for scope alignment and consistency.
• Develop preliminary construction phase schedules and enhance subcontractor relationships.
• Propose VE options to resolve budget issues and meet project budgets.
• Provide conceptual studies and alternate systems evaluations as required.
