Automatic Data Processing, Inc. is seeking a Preconstruction Coordinator in Missouri City to support the Estimating Department with bid preparation, data gathering, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.

You will manage schedules, maintain bid packages, input data into CRM and bidding software (SmartBid), and help ensure accurate, timely estimates in a fast-paced construction environment. Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and proactive communication are essential for success

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree preferred in construction management or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Solicit bid proposals from subcontractors and suppliers and follow up as needed.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and bid submissions/openings.
• Gather specifications, plans, and proposals for estimation.
• Build bid packages with qualifications, references, and safety information.
• Maintain current work in progress and project experience data sheets.
• Input data into CRM and use SmartBid for project entries.
• Prepare and maintain bid calendars, scorecards, and budget reviews.
• Assist with contracts for awarded projects including bonds.

The Preconstruction Coordinator plays a crucial role within our team, supporting the Estimating Department with a range of essential tasks. This highly collaborative position demands a proactive individual with exceptional communication and organizational skills, and a strong sense of accountability.

• Work with the Preconstruction Team to solicit and follow up on bid proposals from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and bid submissions/openings.
• Prepare work to be estimated by gathering specifications, plans and proposals.
• Build bid packages including qualifications, references, minority information, safety information, etc.
• Maintain current work in progress and project experience data sheets.
• Update and maintain staff resumes for bid packages.
• Acquire bid bond and insurance requests.
• Maintain the estimating schedule and calendar, weekly scorecards, BUILDR, and bid tab spreads for biweekly budget/production reviews.
• Execute contracts for awarded projects, including maintenance, payment, and performance bonds.
• Attend necessary estimating, pre-con meetings.
• Input data into CRM.
• Use bidding software to input projects and keep software vendor database up to date (SmartBid).
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
• High sense of accountability and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Exemplary scheduling and organizational skills, including the ability to independently manage multiple projects within competing time and other criteria.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and telecommunication skills.
• Team-oriented, cooperative, and collaborative.
• Positive and proactive attitude, analytical skills, and willingness to share or learn more.
• Construction industry experience is advantageous but not required.
