Job summary

Altasciences is seeking an experienced Supervisor, Research Associate to lead a team conducting in-life preclinical studies across multiple animal models. You will oversee study planning, execution, and data integrity while ensuring animal welfare and regulatory compliance.

You will work closely with Study Directors, veterinarians, and cross-functional teams to mentor staff, manage timelines, and optimize study delivery while upholding high scientific standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Biology, Veterinary Technology, Life Sciences, or related field.
• 3+ years animal research experience; 1+ year leadership/supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing research team.
• Supervise and mentor Research Associates and Research Specialists supporting in-life study activities.
• Drive staff growth through coaching, training, and performance management.
• Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members.
• Ensure studies are executed in line with protocols, timelines and scientific objectives.
• Partner with Study Directors/Scientists to plan, coordinate, and execute preclinical studies.
• Monitor study progress during in-life phases; manage resources and workloads.
