Job summary

Midwestern University Illinois is seeking an Assistant Professor Preclinical Faculty to educate and empower dental students in the simulation clinic. The role emphasizes supervising hand skills, mentoring, and demonstrating all areas of general dentistry, while modeling professionalism and ongoing learning.

The candidate should hold a DDS/DMD or equivalent, with 3+ years of general practice experience preferred and post-doctoral residency/ training preferred.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree.
• 3 years of general dental practice experience preferred.
• Post-doctoral residency or training preferred.
• Strong CAD/CAM clinical expertise required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise student hand skills in general dentistry within the simulation clinic.
• Interact positively with students and treat them as future colleagues.
• Teach and demonstrate all areas of general dentistry.
• Model professionalism and lifelong learning for students.
• Mentor students and adapt teaching techniques to student needs.
• Develop and deliver lectures and examinations as needed.
• Serve on college/university committees and calibrate protocols.
• Evaluate students and provide timely feedback.
