Job summary

Midwestern University Illinois seeks an Assistant Professor Preclinical Faculty who has an DDS/DMD or equivalent and strong clinical dentistry experience, with CAD/CAM expertise and some teaching exposure to guide students in a dental simulation clinic.

The candidate should be committed to educating and empowering students with diverse clinical and academic abilities, and be willing to participate in committee work and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• DDS/DMD or equivalent degree is required.
• Minimum 3 years of general dental clinical practice experience preferred.
• Residency training is preferred and teaching experience at an academic health center is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the development of hand skills in all areas of general dentistry in the simulation clinic.
• Teach and demonstrate all areas of general dentistry to students.
• Serve as a positive role model in professionalism and lifelong learning.
• Mentor students and adapt teaching styles to individual needs.
• Evaluate students and provide timely feedback and grading.
