Job summary

North American Stainless seeks a Z-Mill Roll Grinder Operator to manage all steps of grinding rolls for the Z-Mill. You will coordinate with rollers, stage rolls, set up grinders, and follow work instructions to grind the core rolls including drive, first intermediate, and idle positions.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, mobility in a heavy manufacturing environment, and strong hands-on skills with good vision and communication to ensure safe, efficient operations and

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mobility in plant and ability to sit/stand/walk as needed.
• Ability to use hands for technical tasks, good vision, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Z-Mill roller and create schedule of needed rolls based on width and gauge of material.
• Place rolls on staging tables and set up grinders.
• Grind the Z-Mills per work instructions for all related rolls.
• Build bearing housings for intermediate rolls.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs and related duties as assigned.
