Job summary

WireCo WorldGroup is seeking a Spooler Operator/Respooler to transfer wire from bobbins onto production bobbins. The role emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to WireCo’s values and safety standards.

The position requires sorting, loading, threading, welding, and monitoring winding processes with attention to tension and quality. Overtime may be required as part of normal operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or demonstrated basic literacy and math.
• Fluent in English, able to communicate effectively.
• Basic computer skills to operate systems and records.
• Must have math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to learn to use micrometers, tape measures, feeler gauges and basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Sort and organize partial bobbins and combine into full bobbins.
• Load and position wire bobbins with a hoist.
• Thread wire through guides and tension rollers; attach to bobbin take-up.
• Weld leading end of new supply to trailing end when required.
• Engage spooler and monitor winding for proper tension and uniformity.
• Record production and maintain total spooled wire for orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow quality standards.
• Attend scheduled shifts and overtime as needed.
