Aerotek is hiring a Machine Operator (Wire Saw) for Vancouver, WA. This role operates automated and robotic equipment to slice silicon ingots, maintaining precise documentation and quality targets on a 12-hour compressed shift (6pm–6am). Cross-training and safety compliance are emphasized.

The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, basic data entry in Excel, and effective communication in English. It is a contract-to-hire opportunity with on-site work and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Prior production or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude for operating and adjusting machinery and equipment.
• Strong computer skills, including accurate use of a computer, keyboard, and monitor.
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel for data entry, tracking processes, and performing basic calculations.
• Ability to speak effectively in English with management and co-workers.

Responsabilités

• Operate multiple slicing and wire saw machines and related automated or robotic equipment to lift, hoist, unload, raise, lower, and transport ingots, wafers, tools, and other materials.
• Follow complex, detailed work instructions and procedures to complete silicon ingot slicing processes accurately and on schedule.
• Review work orders and plan a work schedule based on customer requirements, processing times, and order specifications for each manufacturing step.
• Use a computer and Excel to input data, track and confirm each process step, and complete computerized forms and labels for each order.
• Request and coordinate delivery of materials, tools, and equipment in accordance with work orders and production schedules.
• Continuously monitor, analyze, and verify that process data, measurements, weights, and calibrations meet quality and order specifications.
