The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable around industrial machinery; prior manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. This is a full-time, on-site role in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience helpful but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing processes.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attendance, dependability, and teamwork skills.
• Certified Forklift Operations preferred, but training available upon hiring.

Responsibilities

• Operate wire mill, drawing and related equipment.
• Set up machines according to production specs and work instructions.
• Monitor operation and adjust to maintain production rates and quality.
• Inspect wire for diameter, surface condition, straightness, finish, and other specs.
• Use micrometers, calipers, gauges and other inspection tools.
• Identify and report equipment problems, defects and unusual conditions.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, tooling changes, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain production, quality and downtime records.
• Follow work orders and production schedules and quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area per 5S and company standards.
• Follow all safety policies and use of PPE.
• Communicate production issues and equipment conditions to supervisors and teammates.
