Job summary

Termax in Lake Zurich, IL is seeking an experienced Wire EDM Operator to program, set up, and operate wire EDM equipment to machine components per printed specifications. You will create 2- and 4-axis programs, fixture work pieces, and inspect completed parts for conformance.

Responsibilities include maintaining machine performance per the manual, adjusting control parameters to maximize output, and managing necessary inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 5+ years on-the-job training, vocational education, or apprenticeship accepted.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret prints; correct errors before cutting steel.
• Create 2- and 4-axis programs using appropriate software.
• Fixture work piece to facilitate machining.
• Inspect completed work; ensure requirements met.
• Maintain machines per the manual; adjust control parameters to maximize output.
• Keep inventory of supplies (guides, wire, filter, belts, etc.).
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to complete tasks smoothly.
