Job summary

Electric Supply & Equipment is seeking an ES&E Quality Control Technician to inspect processed wire and cable produced by automated equipment. Primary duties include verifying cut lengths, strip tolerances, and insulation integrity, while ensuring compliance with customer specs and industry norms.

You will develop and maintain the wire processing quality program, perform pull-tests and calibration, and collaborate with engineers and production teams to address deviations and implement

Qualifications

• 1-4 years’ experience in Quality Control.
• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or relevant technical experience.
• Knowledgeable in wire and cable attributes, including gauge, insulation type, conductor materials, strip tolerances, terminal compatibility, and processing methods such as automated cut/strip/crimp operations.
• Capable of authoring technical documentation.
• Knowledgeable of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NFPA 79 (Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery), and UL508a.
• Self‑motivated and willing to learn mentality.

Responsibilities

• Inspect processed wire and cable at defined checkpoints throughout production.
• Verify cut length, strip tolerances, and insulation integrity.
• Perform pull-tests, crimp height checks, and document results.
• Maintain calibration of measuring equipment and logs.
• Collaborate with engineers and production team on corrective actions.
• Identify quality trends and suggest improvements.
