Job summary

American Fan is seeking a Wheel Balancer to join our fabrication team. You will balance wheels and fans to engineering specs, assemble fans and blowers, and conduct final inspections to ensure quality and performance.

The role blends precision balancing with assembly work. You will read engineering drawings, follow BOMs, and document production activities while adhering to safety standards and supporting production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or industrial experience.
• Able to read and interpret drawings, BOMs, and written procedures.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail; able to learn balancing processes quickly.

Responsibilities

• Balance wheels and fans using balance machines and computer-based equipment.
• Read and follow engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Perform welding and grinding on wheels as needed to achieve proper balance.
• Assemble fans and blowers, including blade balancing when required.
• Conduct final inspection for defects, completeness, and accessories/motors.
• Report equipment issues and complete required production and quality documentation.
• Use PPE and follow safety and housekeeping standards.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and test equipment after training.
• Support OTD and productivity goals; assist in other production areas as needed.
