Job summary

Twin City Fan & Blower in Mitchell, SD is seeking a diligent shop worker to support testing, balancing and assembly of fans and wheels. You will prioritize work orders, perform light maintenance and operate equipment under supervision.

You’ll follow safety rules, read shop orders and blueprints, and participate in final quality checks, with training provided for required certifications and forklifts/cranes as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and understand shop orders and blueprints.
• Basic English reading and speaking preferred.
• Safe use of hand tools; basic math skills.
• May be required to operate forklift, overhead crane or pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Check orders to determine priority for testing.
• Balance equipment under supervision.
• Add or remove weights on fans/wheels; welding or grinding as needed.
• Move materials using forklift, crane or pallet jack.
• Verify balancer calibration.
• Perform final quality inspection of fan/wheel.
